Boris Johnson and his team used the £ 2.6million White House-style briefing room in Downing Street to watch the new James Bond film, No.10 has confirmed.
the Prime Minister attended the screening Thursday evening, after working hours, with his team in the studio set up for the televised press conferences.
The movie, titled No Time To Die, and who’s an actor Daniel craigthe last film of the Bind role, was released late last month and is still showing in theaters across the country.
A spokesperson for Number 10 said: “Yesterday the Prime Minister met with Pinewood Studios, Universal Pictures, Eon Productions and the BFI to congratulate them on the success of the latest James Bond installment – a testament to the talent of the creative industry. British.
“An evening film screening was held for the staff, who made voluntary donations with all proceeds going to Sarcoma UK.”
All installation costs for the Bond screening, first reported by The Times, were said to have been borne by the companies involved, while similar screenings have already taken place.
The daily off-camera briefings for Westminster reporters on Thursday and Friday have been moved from their usual location, in the studio at 9 Downing Street, 10 Downing Street for what was previously an undisclosed “event”.

The studio at 9 Downing Street – which has been called a “vanity project” by political opponents – was built under Mr Johnson’s plans to hold daily TV news briefs.
These would have been similar to regular White House televised briefings for US media and followed daily government press conferences on COVID at the height of the coronavirus pandemic in early 2020.
However, number 10 plans for daily TV news briefings have been demolished in april despite the fact that former journalist Allegra Stratton was hired to represent them at a cost of around £ 125,000 per year.
She has since been transferred to the post of Prime Minister’s spokesperson for the COP26 climate change summit.

Health Secretary Sajid Javid hosted a COVID press conference from the studio at 9 Downing Street on Wednesday – the first televised coronavirus briefing in five weeks, since September 14.
The cost of redesigning 9 Downing Street in order to build the television studio was revealed in response to an access to information (FoI) request earlier this year.
The Cabinet Office has published a cost breakdown totaling £ 2,607,767.67, largely excluding VAT.
