On September 11, SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” featured a housewarming party of Kim Heechul who completed the interior construction of his new home.

That day, the Super Junior member welcomed Kim Jong Kook, Lee Sangmin, Kim Junho, and Oh Minseok as guests for his first housewarming party. As soon as the interior was finished, he especially invited his close friends.

On the show, Heechul’s house caught the eye by transforming his villa-like home into an all-white interior.

From the front door to the living room, through the kitchen, the ceiling, the wall and the floor, everything was painted white. Even the kitchen table was white.

Before the interior renovation, it was said to be a house with marble and wooden floors and decorations.

Heechul proudly showed off his house saying:

“It’s nice, isn’t it?”

However, his close friends teased him and expressed their embarrassment by making comments, such as:

  • “You haven’t painted it yet, have you?”
  • “What’s wrong with the house?”
  • “Isn’t this an advertising studio?”

As they continue the tour, the cast of the show complained even more after seeing more white in the living room and even in the kitchen and bathroom, pointing out:

  • “If it’s all white like that, isn’t it hard to tell it from the house?”
  • “Doesn’t your head hurt a little now?”
  • “Oh, my eyes, my eyes…”
  • “It’s like an art museum.”
  • “No, it’s like a hospital (inpatient room).”
  • “It looks like a research institute left on Earth after the nuclear war.”

Kim Jong Kook, Minseok, and Junho also started complaining about being dizzy and getting motion sickness.

Despite these comments, Heechul was proud of his new home, and viewers understood his decision after hearing his explanation.

In particular, the male idol also revealed that he envisioned the all-white interior in preparation for the wedding.

Lee Sang-min originally said:

“When Heechul got married later, he said he made it as minimal as possible in white because he thought his wife would do interior work, but it’s too white as paper to drawing.”

Jong Kook also teased him saying:

“You don’t have to worry because I think you’ll live alone.”

However, Heechul is determined with his plans and demands:

“When I get married, I’ll tell my wife to decorate it however she wants. I’m going to get married here.”

Meanwhile, Heechul reportedly moved into a 5 billion won ($4 million) luxury villa-like apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul in February.

In the same program broadcast in May, the scene of the interior design of a new house was broadcast.
